Not yet. Strongly considering trading for a B8.5 A4 or Allroad. But I'm just going to hold out for the B9 Allroad and see how I like it.

Hey my former landlord is apparently totally upside down on his loaded TT S-line. They tried to trade it in for a Golf wagon but apparently it would only save maybe 100 per month, as the TT has lost almost 50% value in 3 years.

I frankly love these stories. I wish they would have bit the bullet on the Golf wagon, which I like quite a bit.

Wow, the TT needed an update I guess.

Wonderful looking car, it’s that whatever-VAG-calls-titanium-color color. Imagine losing 25k in 3 years due to depreciation though...

Yup, that’s just the way it goes sometimes. Just imagine buying a Maybach in 2004 for $400,000 and selling it in 2016 for $70,000.

In the case of the Maybach, I don’t feel bad for anyone with that kind of disposable income though.

The A4 B8 is one of the nicest vehicles I’ve ever driven. I got to drive the pre facelift and Post facelift A4 and they were great! The interior quality is top notch, way better than Benzes and BMWs of the same age. But personally, I’d opt for the new A4 which looks really good in person. The B9 sedan actually still looks like a sedan and not like a wannabe liftback.

They’re also very reliable with regular maintenence. My uncle has had two of the with, a B8 with 150k miles and B8.5 with 63k miles without major problems, even though his B8 had the horrible Multitronic cvt. My piss poor advice for you: Ditch the Jetta, get an A4.

They are reliable to a fault. I know multiple people who’ve had no issues. One of my friends has an extremely beat B8 with 80k and was beaten on since day 1 and it’s been extensively modified and it’s still going strong.

Luckily, this one was the 8 speed and not the godawful CVT. The Allroad and S3 are on my radar as Jetta replacements.

Both my uncle’s A4s were also pushed hard from the beginning as they were company cars. Too bad you don’t get the S3 hatchback and that the 3.0 tdi isn’t available for the Allroad in the US.
